Lego Love

Harper absolutely loves playing Minecraft these days. He really looks forward to his hour of game time and lately, Minecraft is the only thing he plays. His love for the game has spilled over into play time and he set about making all of the characters in the game with Lego's. His interest in the game and building intrigued Dakota and for the past several days they have spent hours and hours sitting on the floor building and talking about all things Minecraft related. Harper even wrote out a list of things they could build: 1 torch, 1 ladder, 4 sticks, 1 crafting table, diamond pick, diamond shirt and shoes, 1 key and lock, iron, 1 bone, butter, diamond bow and arrow, 1 apple and carrot, 1 bed, gold sword, trick chest. :) I love how he spells things! Shoos! Ha!

Over the course of the week the Minecraft characters have been replaced by other ideas like cars, houses and made up creatures but it's awesome that they can sit and talk and create together for such long stretches. One day this week they sat down to play as soon as Harper got home from school and they didn't quit until dinner time. It was a solid two hours of chatter and building, not a single argument the whole time! Now if I could just get them to clean them up each night when they were finished...
