Mani/Pedi with the Bride

Zoe had to work Monday and Tuesday of last week, but she began her official wedding time off on Wednesday. She had a dental appointment and then came out to the house. We all ate lunch and then headed out to get manicures and pedicures. None of us was 100% decided on what we were going to get but the ladies at the salon convinced us of what we "needed" and it just went from there. My mom, sister and I all got gel mani/pedi's and Zoe ended up getting a pedi (which she HATES because her feet are so ticklish) and tips on her fingers. It ended up being quite expensive and I was really unhappy with the color I got, but because it took so long and was gel, I decided to just deal with it.

By the way, what is it about having your fingernails painted that makes you feel like you've got your life together? And, why do they tell you that gel will last for 3-4 weeks when the polish on my hands is already chipped? I mean, I don't sit and type all day for a living but I haven't been working in the yard either...seems like these nails should have lasted at least a week. Good thing I hate the color or I'd be a little more upset about it.
