First Jobs (scrapbook page)

Another idea I got when I thought about "fabric" and how it plays a role in our lives was to make a page about Zoe and Landon's first jobs. Zoe's first official job was at Cinemark while Landon's first and current employment is with  Chick-fil-A. Both jobs require a specific uniform and that particular fabric defines a first in their lives.

I wanted to write a little about each of their first job experiences and this is what is written:

Zoe: You were only 16 when you got your first official job working at Cinemark. You were pretty excited about earning your own money but quickly realized it was tough going to school + soccer + work all week. You mostly worked on the weekend and many friends...you even met you future husband there! You started at only $7.25 an hour and worked as an usher and at concessions. You loved the added perk of getting to watch movies for free!

On the circle attached to her journaling it reads: I love this picture of you because I remember how proud you were to finally have a job.

Landon: You were also only 16 when you got your first job at Chick-fil-A. You've always wanted to work & earn money but were never content with the usual kid jobs like mowing grass, washing cars or dog walking. You always wanted steady income  & a "real" paycheck. Your starting pay was $9.25 and hour and you work pretty much every Tuesday - Saturday. You are really building up some savings which you hope to buy a car with. You love the free food & independence!

On the circle attached to his journaling it reads: I love this picture of you! You were being silly & so happy to get your 1st paycheck!
