Story Time With Harper (take 2)

Here's another writing gem from my dear Harper. This one is an extension to a story they read. It reads:

One day Nimmy and Leon went to art class. When they went in the teacher said "we are doing a clay sculpture". She also said "you have to work together". They told each other what they wanted but they couldn't agree. Nimmy wanted a dog and Leon wanted a cat. They didn't know which one to choose so they worked together and made a dog with pointy cat ears. As soon as they showed the art teacher she said she loved it so much that she would hang it on the door so everyone could see it. So from that day on they learned that working together is key to success.

Here's another story he wrote:

It was a cool, crisp October morning. I was on my way to the great pumpkin contest. If you wanted to win then you have to have the biggest pumpkin. I had a really big pumpkin so I went to the pumpkin contest. I saw really big pumpkins and even some small pumpkins. I saw long one, short ones, carved ones and plain ones. Fat ones and skinny ones. None were as big and mine though. When I entered the worst thing happened! I dropped my pumpkin! Someone yelled out "he dropped his pumpkin!" After that the judge yelled out "and the winner is you. He was pointing at me. Best day ever!

Harper isn't the only one who likes to be creative and spend time writing though. Dakota makes things at home ALL THE TIME and with girl scout cookie season upon us cookies seem to be on her mind. She made this cookie sheet and even went around our house taking fake orders!
