Krispy Kreme Treat

After such a long day on Monday, we took Tuesday off. We didn’t do much, but we did go out to dinner at Uno’s. We couldn’t believe our eyes when we drove by and saw a Krispy Kreme! It used to be something we’d like to indulge in every once in awhile when we had them here but when then they all closed. So, finding one down there was awesome, and we HAD to go!

As we left there were geese right at the door. They kept trying to get into the store and they weren’t afraid to come right up to us.

We even spotted a nest right there in the bushes next to the restaurant.

And, since we never get enough of geese and ducks, we went back to our room and fed the ducks.

Magic Kingdom, Part 3

IMG_4133

Princess Fairytale Hall was close to the carousel so we decided we’d wait in line for a little bit to see some princesses. The wait for Cinderella and Rapunzel was 60 minutes and the wait for Anna and Elsa was 120 minutes…so we chose Cindy and Rapunzel.

I think Harper liked Cinderella’s dress…

The last ride we rode before we left was Dumbo the Flying Elephant.

If you look really hard, you can see Dakota peeking around Tony in the photo above!

It really was a magical day but it was also extremely tiring! We left earlier than we wanted because I was feeling pretty bad, but I think we were all done for the day anyways. Until next time…

*I didn’t get pictures, but we rode Pirates of the Caribbean, and also saw the 3-D movie, Mickey’s PhilharMagic. Both were great!

Magic Kingdom, Part 2

IMG_2527

After the parade, we made our way to the Haunted Mansion, one of our fast pass picks. Harper was pretty worried when everything got dark, but he really enjoyed the ride. Dakota didn’t seem fazed by any of it in the least bit.

IMG_4069

Next up was The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride. It had a bit of a wait, but it also had cute little things for the kids to do while waiting. (All rides should be like that!)

IMG_4081

We got more than halfway through the ride when it stopped all of a sudden. We waited and waited but it never did come back on. We decided to kill time with some poorly lit selfies…

IMG_2540

Eventually one of the employees came over to help us out of our honeypot and we finished the ride via foot. It wasn’t all bad though because we only missed a small bit of the ride and they gave us a fast pass to make up for it. Score!

Since we got a fast pass and the line to Peter Pans Flight was horribly long, we decided it was as good a place as any to use it.

IMG_2543

Once outside again, Dakota spotted the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel and really wanted to ride it…so, we did.

IMG_2550

We also rode Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. It was a lot of fun, but it sure felt like it was over quickly! And, as you can see from Zoe and Landon’s picture below, they were expecting their picture to be taken!

After blasting Zurg away, we stopped to watch a little bit of the show at Cinderella’s castle. We would have like to watch the whole thing but I was pretty sure our skin was melting away from our bodies it was so damn hot.

I’m done for tonight but one or two more posts and I should be done with Magic Kingdom!

Magic Kingdom, Part1

The morning we headed to Magic Kingdom I woke up not feeling well. We already had reservations for lunch at the Crystal Palace and fast passes all lined up for the day, so, sick or not, we were going!

IMG_2525

We took the ferry over to the front gates and once we got in, we saw that Tinker Bell had a very short wait, and we hopped in line. She is a character we’ve never seen before so it was cool to get her autograph. She told Dakota that next time she did her hair she’d make two “tinker buns” like hers!

We headed straight for Fantasyland and jumped in line to ride “it’s a small world”. The line was non existent at about a 5 minute wait especially compared to Peter Pans Flight that was more than an hour! Dakota loved the “gi-gi’s” (babies)!

Next up was The Magic Carpets of Aladdin. Tony and I took Dakota and Harper on this one while Zoe and Landon waited for us.

IMG_2515

And then we hopped in line to see Princess Jasmine and Aladdin. It never ceased to amaze me how willingly Dakota and Harper went with any old prince and princess that approached them! I mean they just held out their hands and the went. It was a little unnerving really.

The moment I caught below was one I’ll never forget. Dakota was just sitting on Aladdin's leg while he signed her book and talked to her and once he was done signing he looked up at her and she was giving him this look of “love” for lack of a better word. It appeared that she wanted to kiss him and I guess Aladdin thought the same thing because he said “Do you want to kiss me?” and she kind of nodded that she did. So, he turned his cheek and she gave him the smallest peck and she was very happy with herself. It was terribly sweet.

And then she kissed Jasmine too.

Then we were off to meet Pooh and friends for lunch.

Having lunch at the Crystal Palace was great. We really enjoyed the food, characters and especially the air conditioning! I’d highly recommend it!

As we went back outside after lunch we caught part of a parade.

Magic Kingdom, part two, up next!

April Fools Pranks

The two little kids made me laugh yesterday morning.  I was upstairs getting things ready for school when I heard them talking about how ...
