Yard Work and Picking Pumpkins

We had a few nice mornings last week that I decided to get some yard work done. Our one tree in the front yard has pretty much lost all of it's leaves and I wanted to get them out of the flower bed. It took me many hours to get the leaves out and to cut the plants back but it's looking much better out there.

After cleaning the flower beds I bought a couple scarecrows and a large jack-o-lantern to fill in some of the bare spots. It was still looking pretty puny though so Tony and I took the kids to choose pumpkins and mums to add as well.

Landon was at a track meet so we chose one for him as well. He most likely wouldn't have come with us if he'd have been home anyways. You know, teenagers aren't all that fun when it comes to stuff like this! When we got home I arranged everything in the garden and I'm happy with how it turned out.
