Zoe and I started baking around 11 am, and our first cookie was a classic chocolate chunk. We used the recipe right on the back of the bag and they were delicious!
Once those were finished we sat down for lunch. Tony made broccoli and cheese soup and it was perfection! (I'd mentioned that it would be nice to have some broccoli and cheese soup and thought it was super sweet of him to indulge me!)
After we got lunch cleaned up Zoe and I got Harper and Dakota started on chocolate dipped pretzels for their school friends.
We realized it was getting late and we hadn't even started our second batch of cookies so we enlisted Tony and Brandon's help with the pretzels and moved on to our final cookie of the day, chocolate dipped peanut butter. (I would have forced Landon to help too but he was doing homework so he got a pass for this time...)
Later that evening we went over to Mema and Umpa's house for dinner and a gift exchange with Chris, Lori and Lea. Mema prepared a huge meal and afterwards the kids had giant ice cream cones and then we left them open their gifts.
