Although Dakota was downstairs first Harper was the one who noticed Peppermint and the advent calendars. He was groggy with sleep but he sat on the bench and read the letter Peppermint wrote out loud to Dakota. I just love how excited Dakota is while he's reading but I was reminding her the whole time to shh! while Harper was reading. I wanted to make sure I could hear him on the video!
They couldn't wait to see what was behind door number 1 on their calendars so they went straight to the table to get started.
Dakota got a person and Harper got a tiny little toy train.
