Dakota and I volunteered to work the cookie booth both last night and this morning. Last night the booth was set up at the bowling alley. We got there and set up but the place was pretty dead. There were only a few people there and they didn't expect to get any kind of business until leagues began at 7 pm. Because we have such a large troop our time was very short and we were out of there by 5:30 pm.
Then, this morning, the girls had another booth set up at a vendor fair and candy cane hunt. This one was the opposite of the one the night before and the girls sold more than 100 boxes! Dakota actually got the very first sale and was super excited to get to place the woman's cookies into a bag, handle the money and restock the table.
The girls all painted paper plates at one of the meetings and they were turned into lollipops to further dress up the booth.
There was even a wheel you could spin if you were having trouble deciding which type of cookie to buy! It, as I'm sure you can imagine, was a huge hit with the kids. Harper said his favorite cookie was the Thin Mint, Dakota said hers was the Caramel Delight.
This was the last cookie booth of the season and I believe cookie sales are now over for our area. I guess it's on to the next thing for these girls!
