Super Saturday

We packed a lot into our day yesterday. From 11:30-1:30 pm we could be found at Skyzone for a birthday party.

The kids jumped their little hearts out, had pizza and ice cream and then came home for a quick rest before we headed out to Zoe and Brandon's house for a visit. We wanted to see their new bearded dragon, Jango and then planned to go to dinner at El Bufalo to celebrate Cinco De Mayo followed by ice cream at a place they recently found called Bmore Licks.

When we got to their house Brandon was in the process of feeding Jango his dinner which consisted of tiny living roaches. Freaking gross. But, I guess he's cute for a lizard.

Harper and Dakota spent an hour playing with the cats before we headed down to Canton Square for dinner.

Here's Dakota loving on Zephyrus:

And, this is Vader, who was trying to avoid us:

We left their house around 5 and had to drive up and down many blocks to find parking. Luckily we were able to grab two spots on the same street and then walked over to where the restaurant was. We could hear the restaurant long before we saw it though and to call it crowded would be a huge understatement. We quickly decided it wasn't going to happen and chose another restaurant that was directly across the street, Plug Ugly's

We went in and found a table with no trouble but we ended up sitting at that table for a good 15/20 minutes before anyone ever came to our table. We were a little grumpy about it at first but our waitress ended up being pretty good just over worked. I'm pretty sure she was the only person working the entire floor as we never saw another waitress the whole time we were there. Our food came out hot and it all tasted really good. We'd definitely go back.

After dinner we took a 15 minute walk to Bmore Licks, a newish ice cream place that offers more than 100 flavors of soft serve ice cream! They also have at least 30 flavors of homemade hard ice cream a day! Sounds like heaven, right?

This is the menu outside and the big blue square on the bottom left has all the soft serve flavors they offer! It was really hard to choose but everyone eventually made their decisions.

Here is the menu with the hard ice creams they had available:

Harper went with soft serve Dirty Grasshopper:

Tony got hard Strawberry Cheesecake:

I got the Mint To Be Chocolate Chip, hard:

Zoe chose Cookie Monster, hard:

Brandon was the only one to spring for a cone and Cinnabon, hard:

And, last but not least, Dakota chose Fudge Brownie soft serve:

I got to taste everyone's ice cream (with the exception of stingy Brandon) and while all of them were very good, mine and Harper's were the best! We ate our ice creams as we made the trek back to the cars and then headed home. It was a busy but fun day and next time we visit Zoe and Brandon we'll have to swing by Bmore Licks too!
