Watercolor Postcards

I sat out in the gazebo Saturday painting for the longest time. It was kind of hot out, but with the fan going it wasn't too bad. We've had these watercolor postcards for awhile now and I wasn't sure what I'd ever do with them but I thought they'd be nice for practicing on. So, here's what I came up with.

My first one I just traced a bunch of circles then drew some intersecting lines. I thought they'd be more fun to paint with all the separate sections.

I liked how they looked but felt like I wanted there to be a clear distinction between the sections so I used a black sharpie to outline everything. I was a little worried about the sharpie bleeding, but it didn't at all!

I decided to add some dots to each section, just for a little more definition. I love how it turned out!

I was thinking about our upcoming cruise when I did the next card so each section ended up being a shade of blue.

Citrus triangles.

Bold flags.

I was going for an ombre look with random white spaces but I didn't like how it turned out. At all.

So I tried to fill in the white space with color but still hated it. Oh well. Can't love them all I suppose.

I did another circular one because I liked how my original circles came out. I don't particularly love this one but, I'm learning and I guess that counts.

And finally, there's this one that looks like the large papers we did on Saturday afternoon. I really like the sharp clean lines on it.

I really enjoyed the process in making these and think I'll try a few more sometime soon! The question is, what the heck will I do with them now that they're made?
