Monkeying Around, Maya Key, Honduras

For everyone who participated, I think the baby monkeys was probably their favorite part of Maya Key. We didn't know we were going to get the chance to hold and feed baby monkeys that day but we are so glad we got the opportunity!

We were able to go in in groups of 5, so this is the group I got photo's with. Zoe, Brandon and Alexis also went. My parents didn't know about it while Tish, Jaron, Kyle and Landon didn't want to wait in line; I think they all would have loved it though! Our wait was about 30 minutes and it was entertaining to watch all the groups of people go ahead of us! Those monkey's are mischievous! We were told to empty our pockets, remove jewelry, hats and glasses as the monkey's would steal them! We saw a few men wearing cargo shorts and those little monkey's were very curious about what was in them. They were equally curious about loose tops and we saw one stick his whole body down a woman's bathing suit cover up! I'll bet their photos were pretty funny!

I was prepared for the monkeys to be on us but it was still a surprise when they jumped on us! Dakota and Tony are holding the food bowls for them so they came right over and grabbed food from the bowls in their hands. Harper wanted to hold the food but he was just too nervous with the monkey's jumping all over the place. When we first walked in Harper kept shrieking (fear and excitement) and the handler told him he had to calm down so the monkey's wouldn't get too worked up. Harper immediately stopped shrieking but was a little nervous the whole time we were in there.

This experience was a once in a lifetime thing and gets a 10 out of 10 from us!
