Dakota Home Sick and Ballet Lessons

Dakota ended up missing school Monday again. She was sick when we went to Zoe's last Saturday but then seemed okay for Ice the next day so I was surprised when she woke up complaining of a tummy ache on Monday morning. I thought it might be from not eating much the past few days and urged her to eat but when she couldn't I had her go lie down in bed. She was also coughing a good bit so I brought her some cough medicine which spurred a mad dash to the toilet where she got rid of said tummy ache.

I gave her a nice warm bath and then sent Harper on to school while she spent her day here with me. After being sick in the bathroom she was totally fine the rest of the day. The cough remained though and it was a good day of rest for her. We spent the morning doing regular Monday chores; laundry, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping and then I gave her an iPad so that I could hop on the elliptical for a bit. She was great about it and I was happy to get my workout done despite the unusual day.

That evening I decided to let her go to her dance class because she'd been absolutely fine all day. She was happy to go and did a beautiful job.
