Blue Agave + Insomnia Cookies

I was so exhausted after Harper's birthday party the other day. Once all the kids left Zoe, Brandon and Mema came over to watch Harper open his gifts (Landon was working all day, 11-7 pm). He got some great stuff and was happy to get to play with some new things while we cleaned up from the party and then relaxed a bit. Zoe mentioned that we should go to dinner at On The Border up near them which sparked a where to go to dinner debate and we ended up deciding to go out to Nick's Fish House, the place they had their rehearsal dinner. As we pulled into the parking lot there was an attendant there who let us know that the parking lot was full and that we'd have to drive over to another nearby lot and a golf cart would transport us back to the restaurant. I realized then that it was going to be a long wait time but we decided to see how long of a wait anyways. So, we parked, rode the golf cart over, found out it was an hour and a half wait, pulled out our phones, made reservations via Open Table at a nearby Mexican place called Blue Agave, walked back to the cars and headed over. I really love technology sometimes!

We were seated immediately and eating dinner within less than 25 minutes. So much better than waiting in the hot sun for seating at the other restaurant! The food was DELICIOUS (I had the chicken tacos) and we were all very happy with what we'd ordered. We decided to skip their dessert though because Zoe really wanted to go to Insomnia Cookies right around the corner instead.

It took us a little bit to decide what we wanted and had to ask what the difference between a cookiewich and a bigwich was. A cookiewich is filled with ice cream while the bigwich is filled with butter cream frosting and knowing that made our decision much easier! I mean, who orders a bigwich?!

I ended up getting a double chocolate chunk + vanilla ice cream cookiewich which Tony shared with me, Harper and Dakota got scoops of ice cream sans cookies (huge mistake on their part). Zoe got a cookiewich and I can't remember what Brandon got! The cookiewich I had was really good. The cookie was warm and the chocolate chips were melting into the ice cream as we ate it. While Harper and Dakota liked their ice cream, once they tasted mine with the cookie they regretted not getting what I had (duh). Zoe said her cookie wasn't warm so she wasn't as impressed with her dessert as I was. I wouldn't go all the way back to Fed Hill for that dessert but if you're ever near one, give them a try!
