It's hard to believe but Landon and I attended his senior planning night last week. Basically they have you come in and give you a heads up on what will be happening over the next several months, get you to pay your class dues and fill out some paperwork. It wasn't a big deal at all but it was nice to be able to get some questions asked as well as make sure Landon had all his ducks in a row regarding graduation requirements.
We found out that his last day of school would be May 23rd and graduation day would be June 11th. It'll be here before we know it! After giving us lots of upcoming event information we were able to go to either a college planning workshop or one that focused on the military/trade school/work force; we chose the latter workshop to hear about trade school and work opportunities.
The one thing that piqued Landon's interest was being a dealer at the casino! That or possibly a computer tech of some sort...but, nothing made him jump out of his seat with excitement or anything. So, we're taking this one step at a time. Work at his current job while he finishes high school and hopefully somewhere along the line he'll find something that he's interested in learning more about. Baby steps.
