Carving Pumpkins

Sunday morning we got to work on carving our pumpkins. We only had three to carve this year; one for each kid that lives here. Tony and I ALWAYS end up doing the carving so we don't even bother getting one for ourselves knowing full well we'll be carving the kids' for them.

Harper nor Dakota wanted to help clean the pumpkins out because they thought it was gross but once we reminded them that they were just "food" they were less disgusted and helped a little. Then, they both wanted to try to carve some so we handed them the tools and let them go for it.

Since were were doing this around 9 am I knew Landon wouldn't be up to help so we cleaned out a pumpkin for him to carve later that day. When he woke up and went downstairs he saw that we had started without him and was a little hurt that we hadn't waited. He even sent a snapchat to his friends saying something like "when your family does holiday stuff without you"! But, when we got home and I told him we'd saved him one and even done the dirty work of cleaning it out, he said he really didn't even want to carve one! Pain in my butt!

I never even remembered to get a photo of the finished pumpkins (that I mostly did myself this year when the kids got bored of it) but did snap one on Halloween night that I'll share if I ever get to writing that post... :)
