JGlo

Juliette Gordon Low was the founder of Girl Scouts. Her birthday is October 31st and each year the service unit has some sort of birthday party in her honor. This year our troop leader decided to hold that celebration at her house in her backyard. She built an amazing replica of Diagon Alley from the Harry Potter series for her daughters birthday party and used that as her jumping off point when planning this party.

So, off we went for a JGlo party...and yes, it was absolutely freezing! She'd already had to reschedule for a rain out though so this had to go on, even if it was ice cold outside.

The girls each had a turn to sit in the chair and be sorted into houses with the sorting hat. Dakota was sorted into the Hufflepuff house.

Then they were able to make their very own ties using some felt and glue.

The University of Maryland's Quidditch team was there to teach the girls how to play. Did you even know that was a thing?!

They also got to go to potions class which I'm pretty sure was a favorite.

Despite the cold weather the girls had a good time and while earning a really cool patch. They even got to bring home their very own wand and glasses like Harry's!
