Last week, on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dakota was sick with a fever and vomiting. She was over all of that by Thursday, but then on Friday she developed a nasty cough, runny nose and congestion. It hasn’t been a fun month for her so far. She’s also cutting her bottom two teeth (I’m pretty sure the one on the left is all the way through as of today) so mix that in with everything else and she’s pretty miserable.
I’ve been pretty miserable too, but I’m just miserable because I’m exhausted from struggling with her all day…and feeling guilty about the lack of time I’m able to devote to my Harps. Top that with Tony starting weeknight soccer practices (even more time I’m struggling on my own) and I’m just a bit overwhelmed and not in the best of moods.
But, life has been moving along regardless of my mood or Kota’s not feeling well, and I have photo’s to prove it! :)
Landon and I found a few minutes to play a game of Battleship. And, for the record, I kicked his butt.
Dakota found a way to soothe some of her teething pain by gnawing on a bath toy.
Landon shared his love of Minecraft with his baby brother.
Harper found his old puzzle book and was happy to sit and play with it for nearly an hour while Dakota played with her activity cube.
So, in other words, life goes on. We have our ups and downs like everyone else, but we just get through them one day at a time. Sometimes, it’s quite painful, and other times, pure joy.
