Rambling

The warm weather made me want to do crazy things like clean out closets and weed the garden and potty train Harper.

Hell, I don’t know what got into me.

But, I did end up doing all of the above…well, I’m still working on the potty training thing, but we’ve started.

I weeded through all of Harper and Landon’s winter clothes making huge piles to give away. They both got some new summer clothes and they are all hung nicely in their closets. Well, they were when I finished anyways. Luckily they both still fit some of the clothes they had from last summer. Not much, but every little bit helps!

Potty training has been interesting so far. Harps just never tells us when he needs to go so we just have to make him sit every 20 minutes to try. It’s exhausting.

We only started yesterday so we’ve got a ways to go yet, but I’m tired of it already! :)

Yesterday, after he peed in his underwear I told him I was sad that he didn’t go potty on the toilet. He felt bad and kept bringing me his toys and even offered me his blankets to make me feel better. I explained to him that it would make me feel better if he’d just go potty on the toilet instead of in his underwear. After thinking about that for a few minutes he said “Well, this just doesn’t make sense!” Haha! I guess he couldn’t figure out why the toys and blankets that make him so happy weren’t working for me!

I’ll just mark that down as reason #492 why I love that kid so much.

With the nicer weather it’s harder than ever for Landon to sit and do his homework. He just can’t sit still some days. Math had been easy for awhile but it’s back to being difficult and requiring extra help from Tony. I caught him paying attention to what he was doing and had to get a picture. I see a baby and a really big kid in this photo. Breaks my heart a little.

I see a baby and a really big kid in this photo too. I also see two boys who love each other. When they aren’t making each other bat shit crazy, anyways!
