It’s hard to believe that it’s already been two weeks ago that we visited Downtown Disney for the first time, but alas, it is true. The hot air balloon you see in the background is a ride you can go on while downtown. It’s pretty cool but a bit pricey, so we skipped it.
I thought it was cool how they decorated these giant wooden flowers with live succulents growing out the middles!
There is a lot of construction going on down there presently but still plenty to see and do. We visited the Lego store and let the kids play around a bit before hitting a few other shops and then heading over to the Rainforest Café for lunch.
Don’t mind the little's in the photo below, they just damn near destroyed the store.
Cute hat, anyone?
After visiting Gatorland, the kids weren’t intimidated by this gator outside of Rainforest Cafe! While the café was neat, it was outrageously priced. I was shocked at the prices of things and we’d never have eaten there if we hadn’t been on vacation!
After dinner, we did a little more shopping around. Dakota found this cute hat and had to try it on:
And then Zoe wanted to try it out:
As we were walking back to the car, Dakota decided she wanted her Lanny to hold her. He happily picked her up and carried her for a bit. It always makes me smile seeing him so gentle with her…and I love when my big kids carry/care for the little kids.
After trekking around in the heat all day we went back to the room to relax for a bit and then down to the pond to feed the ducks. Those ducks will nearly eat right out of your hand! They are a bit aggressive though so we had to keep an eye on them.
