Labor Day

Here’s our day in a nutshell.

  • Mema came over to watch the little’s while Tony and I went to Next Day Blinds to see if we could afford new blinds for upstairs. I was able to find what I liked and when the price was too high, I was able to procrastinate enough that they brought the cost down to where I wanted it. Now I just have to choose my colors and bring them my down payment and I should have new blinds in a few weeks.Yay!
  • We came home and grabbed the kids and we all went to lunch at Newks, one of our new favorite places to eat. Landon chose to stay home. 13 year olds are like that sometimes.

  • When we got home we had a little down time and then went to cool off in the pool. It’s been really hot here lately and of course our pool is now closed. Isn’t that the way it always happens? Landon didn’t want to go to the pool with us. 13 year olds are like that sometimes.

  • After the pool we had a big Labor Day feast. Ribs, baked potatoes, buttered noodles, corn on the cob and baked beans. It was delicious! While I cleaned up the kitchen Tony and the little’s went out to eat popsicles, draw on the driveway with chalk and stomp bugs while wearing daddy’s shoes. Landon didn’t want to play chalk or eat popsicles or stomp bugs. 13 year olds are like that sometimes.
