Osmo Genius Kit and Pizza Co. Game

One of the coolest toys the kids got this Christmas is the Osmo Genius. I'd seen this before but hadn't really paid much attention but something about it caught my eye this year and I looked into it a bit further and thought it looked pretty cool after all. (I didn't end up buying it myself as I gave the idea to my brother and sister who ended up getting it for the kids.)

I couldn't wait to get the kids set up to try it and once they got playing it both of them really enjoyed it. My brother got them this kit and my sister got them this one as well as an extra base so they could both play on their own devices.

Here's a little video of Dakota playing with the tangrams set. (You'll have to excuse all the background noise, it was Christmas morning and there was a lot going on.)

The tangrams were fun, but once she started with the pizza kit, she didn't want to do anything else!

Once the pizzas were made she had to accept payment for them and give change. I thought that was really cool and a really fun way to learn about money!

Harper wasn't in the mood to let me video him playing the games as well, but he sure enjoys them. Maybe he'll let me record him doing a few of the other games that came with the genius kit tomorrow.
