Daisy Scout Valentine

Dakota had been looking forward to her Daisy scout meeting all week because she knew she was going to get to pass out her Valentine gifts. Before they got to pass out their goodies though they had a few other activities to do.

Using their fingerprints and some paint they made a nice paper to give to their mom or dad.

They also did a worksheet in which they had to choose which pictures were acts of responsibility or not.

Their final activity of the evening, before the party, was to decorate a tiny terra cotta pot. The leaders helped them to create designs on their pots with paint and their fingerprints, but I wasn't helping with that activity so I'm not sure exactly what that was all about. I'm sure I'll understand it when she brings it home eventually.

Once they were finished with all of those activities they lined up to wash their hands in the hallway while a few parents/leaders set up for the party. The girls were VERY excited when they came in and saw all the decorations on the tables! Each chair had a huge felt heart slipped over the back for them to place their Valentine's in and there were cupcakes/sprinkles/icing out on the table for the girls to decorate their own cupcake.

The girls loved passing out their treats and making their cupcakes. It was a really fun night and Dakota could hardly wait to get home to see what she got in her big felt heart!
