Playing with Balloons

January felt like the longest month ever and then here we are already seven days into February. I mean to sit and blog a little every night but by the time I finally sit the last thing I seem to be able to do is form coherent thought, so I sit and watch episodes of Doc Martin on Netflix instead. We have been busy as bees around here but nothing too exciting, just day to day stuff.

Last weekend was jam packed. We didn't have any concrete plans but every minute was used. The kids woke up looking forward to fun and for some reason that included playing with balloons. I can't remember how it all began, but they had more fun with balloons than I knew was possible.

The dress Dakota is wearing is a costume that a friend of mine was selling. Dakota still loves to dress up but all of her old princess dresses are just too small. This dress is a size 7/8 and just a bit big which means it should hopefully last a year or more. (It's the dress Elsa wears in the movie Frozen.)

Tony took the kids to the grocery store with him to get stuff for our annual VranBowl (I didn't realize it was Super Bowl weekend until Tony told me Saturday morning!) while I went to the gym and Harper ended up getting sick. At first we thought it was car sickness, which he gets from time to time, but when he was sick again later that afternoon we realized it wasn't motion sickness. So, while he rested on the couch, Dakota did her best to comfort him with stuffed animals and blankets.

I know he doesn't look sick in the photo above but he really wasn't feeling well. Luckily it only last the one day and he woke up feeling much better the next morning.
