December Daily Album, 2017 (Days 13-25)

Day 13 was about Harper's new found love for The Nightmare Before Christmas movie and Dakota's love of wrapping gifts. I didn't have room to include the number 13 on the page so I created a small tag and added it between the pages. Day 14 was a pocket page where I put in this years Christmas card and there is journaling about it on the back.

This is the back of our Christmas card:

Day 15 was spent on a school field trip with Harper. On the backside of the pocket page there was a lot of empty space so I put some journaling there and then added an assortment of photo's and trinkets to day 15. I added a transparency between the journaling and the photos and used my cork "Merry" on that page.

I used my Fuse to make the shaker square (2nd row, far right) and love how that turned out!

Day 16 was a really busy day! Our elf brought a gingerbread kit to do, we went to the mall for a little shopping, and that evening Tony and I went out to Muse to paint a canvas.

Day 17 was spent making treats for the kids' friends at school and Landon went on a drive with his driving instructor. That evening we had a big family dinner at Mema and Umpa's house. I decided to stick the Love Never Melts hand that Dakota brought home from school here because it's just adorable and this book seems like a safe place to keep it.

Day 18 was an unexpected day off of work for Tony because his car wouldn't start. After he got that taken care of we spent the day relaxing and working on a puzzle. When the kids got home from school they were excited to find letters to them from Santa.

Day 19 I got started wrapping gifts. I love the "love this season of joy" overlay!

Day 20 I finally got around to making the teachers gifts. Nothing like waiting till the last minute! I used another transparency here for the number 20.

Day 21 was about Landon receiving his first ever paycheck! He was so excited! To make it even better, he also received a $50 holiday gift card from Chick-Fil-A! It was a good day!

Day 22 was the Polar Express day for the Kindergarten classes and silly socks for 2nd grade. It was also ugly sweater day for the school so Harper did silly socks and an ugly sweater. :)

Day 23 we went to Maggiano's to make sugar cookies with our friends. Santa was there too and Dakota got a picture with him. Again, I couldn't fit all the photos I wanted so I added a tag between pages.

Day 24, Christmas Eve. I used my final transparency behind the the tag of Dakota and Santa and the back of the tag holds some brief Christmas Eve journaling. We baked some sugar cookies as a family and decorated them to leave out for Santa later that evening. We made our way over to Mema and Umpa's for our usual Christmas Eve celebration and Zoe and Brandon spent the night with us so they could be with us early in the morning to open gifts.

Day 25, Christmas day. Just a big bunch of photos and then a 4x6 card with my journaling. Behind the journaling is another little hand print project Dakota brought home from school as well as a book that Harper made at school about their pet reindeer's.

And that's it. December Daily is a wrap for 2017! This project gives me a bit of anxiety every year but I absolutely love that I get as much as I do in these books. I love these people more than anything and I hope these books will stay a part of our families for years to come.
