We got to the MVA about 15 minutes early and ended up waiting about half an hour before getting checked in and sent outside to get in line for his test. There were a few people there already testing so we had to wait about another 15 minutes in the car while they finished their tests. When the instructor approached the car she asked us some questions, got our paperwork and then asked me to exit the car while she began the process of making sure the car was in good working order; unfortunately, this is also where my story ends because unbeknownst to us, ALL of the rear tail lights were out. There are three back there and not a single one was working. Since the tail lights were burnt out his exam had to be postponed until they were working properly. Talk about a huge let down. He was a little pissed and I was totally bummed out because we just had no idea and had thought this would be easy and done.
As soon as we got home Tony took the car up to Advance Auto Parts and bought new bulbs for the lights. All lights are now working and I was able to schedule another drive test for Monday afternoon. It really sucked but I'm hoping he'll be able to go in and nail it on Monday.
To be continued...
