Fun and (Board) Games

We own a TON of board games. It's really Tony's fault because he loves to play games but I'll admit that I like playing them too. Since we both like games our kids tend to enjoy them as well and they pulled out a few to play together this weekend. (They play together often but this is new and super cool that they can now play board games together! Definitely an advantage when it comes to kids being close in age.)

The first one they played was one Dakota got for Christmas called Mermaid Island. Tony showed Dakota how to play it a few days ago and she liked it enough to want to play it again. As with other Peaceable Kingdom board games it is cooperative which means no one loses because they work together. Any game that doesn't end in tears is a winner in my book!

Another game they pulled out was Eye Found It. We've had this awhile and we've played it many times. It too is a cooperative style game and they love looking for the objects "hidden" (they aren't actually hidden but its so big and full of stuff the objects aren't easily seen) within the scene.

The kids also pulled out some card games (War and Go Fish) to play with one another and their friends but I didn't take pictures of those.

And, in the spirit of playing games, Harper made his own. It's called Chutes and Ladders 2; basically Chutes and Ladders on paper. I played it with him and of course, he won.
