After our driving test fiasco this past Saturday I was a little anxious about Landon having to go take the test on Monday. To say I was stressing about it would be an understatement. He ended up missing school that whole day because I had to take him to get blood work done and by time we got out of there it seemed pointless to take him to school since he'd have to leave early for his drive test at 1:30.
Tony picked Landon up here at the house and I stayed here to get the kids off the bus since we weren't sure how long it would take at MVA.
Since I wasn't there I asked Tony to get a few photos for me. They start out on a course where they have to obey the signs and then demonstrate that they can back into a parking spot; he nailed it.
That part only takes a couple minutes and then they head out on the main roads. Landon said he was pretty nervous but he must have done fine because he passed with no problem! (He said the instructor asked him three separate times which signs they had just passed and not once could he remember! It counted against him but wasn't enough to fail him, thank goodness!)
Of course when Landon got back he texted me that he'd failed and I was such a nervous wreck I called Tony and made him tell me the truth. I wasn't nervous at all that Landon would be successful but I was worried something would go wrong with the car or something stupid would happen and we'd have to do it another day. Thankfully everything went well and he's officially allowed to drive a car on his own. I'm so proud! Right now he just has this paper that he's supposed to have with him while driving (as well as his permit) but he should have his license in ten days.
This kids moving on up in the world...
