Back when we had that last heavy snow Tony was trying to knock some of the snow off of the trees in the backyard because they were hanging so low. Well, he was throwing a rake up into the tree to do the job but one time the rake never came back down! Those evergreen trees are pretty dense and it was like playing a really hard game of I Spy to find it, but he finally spotted it and jumped up on the fence to get it out of the tree.
We ended up going to Red Robin for dinner that night. Landon was supposed to be going to the movies with some friends that night so he'd ask for the night off of work. Unfortunately one of his friends ended up getting in trouble and no one ended up going to the movies so he joined us for dinner. It's been awhile since he's been out with us, so it was good to have him there.
Since the weather was decent, we walked down to Yolavie, a local frozen yogurt place, for dessert. The kids love going in there because there are lots of choices and they get to actually pull the handle for the soft serve! It's the small things, people. Both kids chose cookies and cream flavor ice cream but went different directions with their toppings. Harper got pineapple, cookie crumbles and sour worms in his ice cream while Dakota added gummy butterflies and mini M&M's. Interesting choices, huh?
That springlike weather was very short lived but it sure has us ready for some warmer days!
