Wrapping Up Girl Scouts

Last week was Dakota's final regular girl scout meeting. (Regular, as in, we met where we usually meet and they did activities in order to earn a patch. They have another "meeting" in June but it's at an indoor playground and I don't think it'll be much of a "meeting".)

The girls were happy to be there as usual and they got a lot of stuff accomplished. We were going to be meeting outside originally but the rain forced us to meet inside, but nothing really changed aside from the venue.

The girls painted Kindness Rocks and made bird feeders using toilet paper rolls, peanut butter and bird seed.

At the end of the meeting the girls were given some "homework" to do. They are to make charm bracelet charms for one another using shrinky dink paper, hand their bird feeders up for the birds, hide their rock, pick up trash around their neighborhoods and were each assigned a secret sister to buy a gift for and exchange at our meeting in June. That's enough to keep us busy for a minute but we also have several events to attend and/or participate in; Medieval Times, Massing of the Colors, and a Memorial Day parade. Phew! It's been a busy, but very fun year!
