My friend Lisa threw the sweetest donut birthday party for her now 2 year old, Evelyn. It didn't surprise me that she went with a donut theme being that Lisa has the biggest sweet tooth in Maryland!
She picked up some plain donuts and let the kids decorate them with icing and sprinkles, an activity they really enjoyed! They actually got to decorate two; one to eat in lieu of birthday cake and one to take home in their cute little donut boxes.
Lisa also made some breakfast for everyone to enjoy since her party was in the morning. She made a breakfast pizza and Cheesy Hash brown Casserole as well as a cinnamon roll something or another in her crockpot. I ate the pizza and hash browns and they were both delicious! My kids even liked the breakfast pizza and that is no small deal! I didn't eat the cinnamon roll dish mainly because she had donuts and I just didn't need any more sweet stuff but I'm sure that it too was amazing.
After we ate and sang happy birthday the kids asked if they could watch Evie open her gifts. It's become the norm for gifts to be opened once the party is over so my kids were really excited to get to see Evie open hers.
It was a sweet party for a sweet baby, and we were so happy to get to celebrate her special day!
