Last Day in Lauderdale

Our last day in Fort Lauderdale was spent lounging around relaxing. The kids had ZERO interest in going to the beach and preferred the tiny hotel pool, so that's what we did. It ended up being a really nice day and the kids played like best friends having the time of their lives! They made up all sorts of games and played with whomever else was in the pool at the time. They were in the water for nearly 6 hours that day and just as happy as could be.

When we were able to drag them out of the pool we spent some time in our room playing games on our iPads. Harper discovered that he liked a game called The Room, one Tony plays, and he and Landon played it together for a long time.

For dinner that night we just walked downstairs to the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Before going in the kids got a picture with a giant shrimp that was outside their door.

We decided to eat outside on their covered patio and it was nice except the darn pigeons kept walking and flying around trying to steal our food! Bugs weren't a problem but those dumb birds! After dinner we walked down along the beach and stopped for pictures along the way.

Landon had gone on a walk earlier that day and saw some iguana's so he took us on a hike to see if we could see them again. We didn't see any but it was a really nice walk with some beautiful views. I took a panorama from the center of the bridge and thought it turned out pretty neat looking! That's Landon and Mema on the right.

Of course we ended up back at the pool for one last hurrah before settling in for the night and preparing to fly home the next morning. It was an amazing vacation but it was time to head home...
