Summer Menu

During the summer months my husband does a lot of grilling. we like to grill ribs, steaks, hamburgers, shrimp etc..we like to pair it up with a baked potato and some corn on the cob or a salad.my husband and I are always trying out new recipes, and this is one we came across recently (2000, taste of home) and we both really liked it. It makes a lot, so it would be great for a get together with friends.

Summer Spaghetti Salad

1 pkg. (16 oz) thin spaghetti, halved

3 medium tomato's, diced

3 small zucchini, diced

1 large cucumber, halved, seeded and diced

1 medium green pepper, diced

1 medium sweet red pepper, diced

1 bottle (8oz.) Italian salad dressing

2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

1-1/2 tsp. sesame seeds

1-1/2 tsp. poppy seeds

1/2 tsp. paprika

1/4 tsp. celery seed

1/8 tsp. garlic powder

Cook spaghetti according to package directions; drain and rinse in cold water. Place in a large bowl; add tomatoes, zucchini, cucumber, and peppers. Combine remaining ingredients; pour over salad and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Yield: 16 servings

You know your blog got me to thinking. With price of gas and everything going up the way it is... we should have more friends over... game nights BBQ's and such. What a great way to spend the day, and try out new menus.

great blog

The spaghetti dish sounds great and easy to make. I don't like to cook much in the summer heat.
