National Zoo

Since we have an extra day off this weekend we decided to make the most of it and take a trip down to the DC Zoo. We left here around 9am and when we got there at 10, it was already packed. I’m pretty sure every single person in Maryland and DC thought today was a good day to go to the zoo.

We saw Prairie Dogs:

And Zebra’s:

Of course we saw lots and lots of other animals but Tony and I were juggling Harper, the stroller, spilling drinks, and the camera while trying not to lose each other in the crowd, so these are the best photo’s we got. After 3 hours of walking uphill in the heat with 4 million other people, we decided to call it a day. Everyone fell asleep in the car on the way home (except Tony, of course. I think.) and that is always a sign of a day well spent!

*If you ever visit the DC Zoo, make sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes because it is very hilly. It’s a beautiful zoo, and you should absolutely check it out if you get the chance!
