Easter Morning

Easter morning was pretty quiet. Harper enjoyed finding the eggs that the bunny left and was surprised to see a basket of goodies, but he still wasn’t really getting the whole thing. The first thing he sat down to look at was a new search and find book. But, I already knew he’d be all about that.

Dakota, of course, had no idea what was going on. She was happy to sit and gnaw on an empty Easter egg. Now if I could just keep her satisfied with that, Easter would be pretty cheap!

Landon was up late the night before and we had to drag him out of bed to look for his basket. Knuckle head. He had fun looking for the clues that led to his basket and when Tony or I helped, he got mad and told us we were taking away all the fun. I think he might not have gotten enough sleep the night before.

The three kids got a few nice things in their baskets, but we did keep it to a minimum this year. Zoe, being 18, didn’t get anything, but it was nice that she was home to share the day with us.

After everyone was up and dressed, we headed out for some breakfast. It was a good thing we got there when we did because shortly after being seated there was standing room only while waiting for a table.

We spent the rest of the day hanging out at the house. Zoe and Brandon even braved the cold weather in order to draw on the new outdoor chalkboard that Tony and I finally finished.

We aren’t sure why Brandon drew a bunny with huge breasts because this is a strictly PG chalkboard. He keeps telling us they’re bunny hands, but I’ve never seen anyone hold hands with a bunny like he is in the photo below.

Hope you had a happy Easter!
