A Morning on the Farm

IMG_0477

A friend of mine invited us out to the farm this morning. Her daughter is involved in 4H and has a cow that she takes to county fairs throughout the state for show.

When we got there, Emily was attempting to take her cow Autumn for a walk, but the cow was pretty hesitant and uncooperative, so we just walked around the farm and looked at the horses.

After our walk, it was time for the cow to get a bath. Apparently, another cow pooped on her and she needed to that taken care of…

Amy put my kids to work carrying the supplies. They were happy to help, but afterwards, Harper said he was sweating and needed a break. So, we all sat in the shade and watched Emily wash her cow.

Before leaving we went inside to see the babies. Harper and Dakota enjoyed that part and they both were brave enough to pet them.

We had a great time out there and after lunch, Dakota conked out in the car on the way home. All that cow and horse business wore her out!
