Spring Break, Day 1

The kids' spring break was last week and it just so happens that my parents recently bought an RV so we thought that camping (glamping) would be a fun way to spend the week. We thought about camping at the beach but figured it wouldn't be as fun if we couldn't get in the water (too cold still) so we settled on the mountains instead.

We ended up at Panther Creek State Park in Morristown, Tennessee. We left early Saturday morning and the drive down was a bit of a mess weather wise. We had rain, snow, sleet and more rain. Also, Dakota wasn't in travel mode at all and she whined pretty much non stop. We were ready to pull our hair out by the time we got there, but we made it in decent time and she finally settled down.

When we got to the campsite we did a little looking around, checked out the living arrangements and then ate dinner. Mom made the best chicken noodle soup...I've gotta remember to get her recipe!

My parents got to the site a day ahead of us and had already scoped out a nice walking trail so after dinner we headed out on a walk.

I don't know what it is about water but it just begs to be crossed. Who makes it and who doesn't? Watch and find out! :)
