Lincoln's BBQ, Silver Spring

Zoe came across a post on Facebook that was highlighting a local restaurant because of their crazy amazing shakes and when I saw it I was determined to go. My friend Lisa has a big sweet tooth so I asked her if she'd want to bring her family and go with us and, of course, she was all about it. We'd read online reviews of the food at Lincoln's and most of them were awful so we decided we'd try out BurgerFi for lunch and then go to Lincoln's BBQ for dessert.

BurgerFi was really good! They have some very interesting burger choices and Tony and I decided to split the Breakfast All Day Burger. It had cheese, bacon, syrup, an egg, hashbrown's and onions on it! It was delicious!! We also split an order of onion rings which were also yummy and some of the absolute biggest I'd ever seen!

After eating our lunch we walked over to Lincoln's for dessert. The downtown Silver Spring area is really nice and it felt like a miniaturized New York City in it's design. Right outside of Lincoln's was a splash pad for the kids but we were in a bit of a time crunch so we didn't bring their suits that day...next time.

We were seated right away and given the menu. We didn't see the list of shakes until the waitress told us where they were and even then there wasn't a description of what you'd get. It simply stated chocolate, vanilla, strawberry etc.; not very exciting. So, we asked the waitress what came in each shake and she gave us a quick run through. The shakes are big enough to share but maybe not enough for four people so we ordered two while Lisa and Jeff also ordered two. (We ended up ordering the same two!)

We got the chocolate which had a huge brownie stuck in it and was covered with chocolate covered pretzels, m&m's, sprinkles, a kit kat bar, whipped cream and drizzled with chocolate. OMG. It was delicious! We also chose the vanilla shake which was covered with chocolate chip cookie sandwiches, whipped cream and drizzled chocolate. My brain could hardly handle how good it looked and it tasted even better!

Needless to say, these were the shakes of all shakes! They tasted as amazing as they looked and between the four of us we didn't even come close to finishing them, so maybe one for four people is enough? At a whopping $10 a piece they weren't cheap but I have a feeling we'll be back. And, I think we'll try lunch there next time because despite the terrible online reviews the food we saw being served looked really good and the place was buzzing with people eating lunch.
