We brought September in with a back to school party at our friends house. Lisa and I had all these plans to do water balloons the sprinkler and slip & slide but it was just too cold. We ended up hanging out in the house while the kids played. It was still a fun morning but hardly what we'd imagined.
Lisa found out about an ice cream man who was giving out his number and e-mail and offering to swing by peoples neighborhoods if they emailed or texted so she did that and we had a window between 12-1:30 for him to show up. We didn't tell the kids so they weren't standing at the window waiting for him to show up but the second we heard his music we all ran outside to buy an ice cream treat. This was one of the nicest ice cream guys we've ever met! He gave the kids a few pieces of candy and after they'd been polite while placing their ice cream orders he also gave them a giant pixy stix candy! They couldn't believe their luck!
Dakota got a giant ice cream sandwich, Harper chose the Lick-a-Color Sour Popsicle, Colin grabbed a Sonic the Hedgehog and Wyatt picked the Spongebob Squarepants Popsicle. They all claimed theirs was the best but Evelyn and I thought ours was better...
