Lunch and Harper's New Pet(s)

Tony's office had a Christmas party and he was the winner of one of the door prizes. He won a $25 gift card to The Olive Garden and we decided to take ourselves out to lunch with it last Friday. Its nice to have a lunch date every once in awhile!

Later that evening we decided to try a nearby Chinese restaurant. We usually order in when we get Chinese but Tony was wanting to get out of the house so we went to Hunan L'Rose. We ate there many years ago with my dad (more than 10 years ago) and liked it but we just got in the habit of ordering Chinese in so we never went back, but after going again last week, I know we'll add it to our Friday night dinner rotation. The food was really good and the kids loved the huge fish tank that you can see from wherever you sit. 

After dinner we headed to the pet store to let Harper choose fish for the fish tank he won. 

We got 9 total but we're already down to six. He was a little upset when the three fish didn't make it but so far the rest of them are doing pretty good. He loves having a tank in his room and has been doing pretty good about remembering to feed them. I'm really surprised that Dakota hasn't asked to have one in her room too since she always wants what he has, but thankfully she hasn't.
