We made the most of our day and even made it outside for a little bit. Harper didn't want to go at first and then I had to MAKE him come back in, he's funny like that.
We started out in the front yard making snow angels but ended up walking down to our neighborhood playground. This video makes me laugh because it seems like this is how everything goes at our house.
Harper "Kota come bury me"
Kota "you want me to bury you? (throws snow right in his face)"
Harper "Ah!"
Me "Not right in his face!"
Kota "Hahahaha!"
Me "That wasn't very nice"
Harper (throws snow in her face) hahahaha!
Them (struggling, fighting, throwing more snow)
Me (rolling my eyes wishing they were at school)
They had a terrific time playing at the playground. I sat and watched as long as I could stand it and it might have been 25 minutes tops. They went down the slide a bazillion times (forwards, backwards, sideways, lying down etc) and thought it was just great every time they flew off the end.
They were totally pooped out when we got back home which was nice. They sat at the table building new Christmas Lego kits for the longest time while I got some housework done (cleaning up the snow we drug in). Here's to hoping the roads are safe for kids to get to school tomorrow...and, if they aren't, here's to my sanity. :)
