The Track at Myrtle Beach

On Tuesday afternoon (8/28/18) we all headed out to ride go carts. Lisa found a place not too far from our hotel (The Track) that offered electric carts and she thought those would be less loud than the regular ones. Evelyn isn't too fond of anything "youd" at the moment, so it was nice to accommodate her.

We all rode in pairs at first while Lisa hung back with Evelyn. Dakota and I were together and while she initially enjoyed it her joy turned to fear as we hit our first fast curve. I ended up slowing down per her request and she nearly didn't go on the second track with me. Somehow she did end up mustering up her courage though and we sped around trying to pass her dad and Harper!

Landon was really nice and when he heard Lisa asking me if one of her boys could ride with him he piped right up and said that of course he'd share a car with them. :) He ended up with Wyatt in the passenger seat and he said Wyatt was straight faced the entire time! Didn't say a word and never cracked a smile! Haha! That little boy is a card!

On the second track Colin traded with Wyatt and rode with Landon. Dakota said she was only riding with me because she trusted me! Haha!

There were also some smaller go carts for the kids to drive and Harper couldn't wait for his turn to do that! Wyatt wasn't quite tall enough for these and Dakota didn't want to drive so it was just Harper and Colin on this track.

While the boys were doing their laps on the go cart course, Dakota took a spin on the Merry Go Round.

Next up was bumper boats. There was a little bit of learning the kids had to do in order to drive their boat AND shoot other people with water but it seemed like they kind of figured it out. At the end of their time though the guy working the ride had to jump in a boat and tether Wyatt to him and pull him back! Poor Wyatt couldn't figure out how to make it go the direction he wanted! Dakota nearly needed him to pull her in too but she figured it out just in the nick of time and got back herself.

We still had some tickets to use and while Harper wanted to ride the big go carts again Dakota finally decided to give the little kid go carts a chance. She and Wyatt rode around and around together...

Even Kota's big brother was on the side cheering her on!

Before leaving to go get dinner we let the kids use the very last of their tickets on the video games inside the building. It was a nice relief from being out in the heat for so long! Dakota loves these claw games and is always so confident she'll win while I'm always telling her that it's a waste of her money. Well, this time she showed me who was boss when on her second try she dropped a little dinosaur into the hole!

Harper spent all of his remaining tickets playing this Jurassic Park themed game.

Landon played all kinds of games and won all kinds of tickets and was even nice enough to let Harper and Dakota spend them on the junk at the counter.

When we left there we went to dinner at Extreme Pizza because we remembered it being REALLY good the last time we went. It was good this time too but it just wasn't the same as the first time we went.

April Fools Pranks

The two little kids made me laugh yesterday morning.  I was upstairs getting things ready for school when I heard them talking about how ...
