Landon has been working pretty much all week this week since school's closed for winter break. He came home last Friday with his first paycheck and it only made him eager to work more and earn more, which I suppose is a good thing.
His next paycheck should be much larger since he's worked so many more hours and I hope he'll continue to enjoy his job. My parents are up here visiting now as they always visit after Christmas for a few days so we went up to visit him and eat lunch yesterday. That place was a MADHOUSE. I mean, Chick-Fil-A is never hurting for business, around here at least, but yesterday was seriously bonkers. The line was going out the door and every register was going as fast as it could. The drive through was wrapped around the building and it was absolutely crazy. But, as usual, the line moved swiftly and before we knew it we were standing in front of Landon giving him our order. When he asked what name the order should be under I told him "Mommy". Haha! He asked me if I was sure he wanted someone calling me Mommy since he wouldn't be bringing our order out! We ended up using my dad's name instead, but that was a lot less fun.
I have to admit that I just love that he's working. I love that he is taking it seriously and seems eager to get to work each day. I know it's still very new and exciting but I'm proud of how well he's handling the hours and change of pace. And, not only is he doing well at work, he's also making new friends in the process which I think is fabulous. He went to the movies with a group of them the other night already and I foresee more of that in his future. My boy sure is growing up fast...only a matter of time before he's driving himself to and from work...
