Night at the Farmers Market

Farmer's markets are a big deal around here and Crofton hosts a small one every Wednesday night. We always seem to forget about it but this week my friend Lisa asked if we wanted to meet them there for dinner. Of course we said yes!

We ended up getting to the market a little earlier than they did and before I knew it Dakota was begging to get silk shimmerz in her hair. I thought they looked pretty cool so we spent the $10 for 5 strands and in less than 10 minutes she had some pretty sparkles added to her blond locks. In the picture below you can see one of the pink strands and funnily enough, I never did get a picture of them all in her hair before they fell out. Oops! (We wouldn't do these again as they just didn't stay in her hair. Today is Saturday and the last one fell out this afternoon; not worth the money in my opinion.)

As we left the shimmerz booth Harper spotted our friends and took off after them! The kids were so happy to see one another! The boys immediately asked to go run around in the field and while they played we figured out what we were going to order from the various food trucks.

Tony and I decided to try some wings from Wingman (meh) and we also ordered Dakota's requested chicken nuggets there as well. Harper requested pizza so we grabbed him a pepperoni pizza at All Fired Up Brick Oven Pizza (pretty good!).

Lisa ordered some crab topped fries and after having a taste, Tony and I decided to split an order of them as well. We grabbed those from Crabtowne Curbs along with a brisket sandwich; all delicious!

As soon as the boys finished eating they ran off to play in the field again. Dakota wanted to play with Evelyn and use my phone to take pictures. And, Lisa got a picture of Dakota taking pictures of Evie.

A little girl at the table next to us had her face painted and as soon as Dakota noticed she HAD to find the face painter to have her face painted too. The woman doing the face painting that night is the same one we hired for Dakota's fourth birthday party and she is REALLY good!

Before heading home for the night we stopped for dessert at the Kona Ice Truck (Harper) and Quinn's Ice (Dakota and me and Tony).
